RAFTING NZ TEAM CHALLENGE

Last weekend, a team of 6 diehard (foolhardy?) Ozone Coffee athletes travelled down to Turangi to compete on the annual River Wild Raft and Run Teams Challenge hosted by our good friends at Rafting New Zealand. River Wild is a 16km whitewater raft over some beautiful Grade 3+ rapids on the Tongariro River, followed by an 8km run alongside the river.

As promised, here is our second micro-lot Kenya this harvest. Kenya Kiunyu AB is now available today from our online store and locally at The Beanstore for a strictly limited time. Craig continued (and possibly finished -TBC) his amateur boxing career on Friday night with another win in a corporate fight before Sam Rapira's NZ National Boxing Federation light heavyweight title fight in New Plymouth. The fight went the full 3 rounds and Craig was victorious in the battle of the bars over Kymon Hill with a unaminous points decision....a great fight by both, but Craig's dedicated training and technical skill securing him the win. Last week our Barista Trainer and Client Manager Anne - Laure Bernollin, spent a week in Nelson studying and qualifying as a SCAA Specialised Instructor (Barista) and also starting the Instructor Development program...both of which are internationally recognised qualifications. All of us at OCR are incredibly proud....Anne - Laure passed all her exams with amazing success. The in-depth week-long course covered cupping terminolgoy and skills, espresso protocol and techniques, milk techniques and discussed learning and teaching styles to best train baristas...
