Great coffee roasting is a balance of timing, temperature, airflow and intuition along with knowledge of a coffees density, moisture levels and characteristics.
We roast on a classic 1975 PROBAT G45 roaster constructed of thick, quality cast metal which provides us with excellent control, accuracy and consistency and ultimately bring out the flavours and characteristics of our carefully selected coffees.

Green coffee selection is a critical part of our success - we cup our single origin coffees and crafted blends for quality, flavour, aroma, body, acidity, sweetness, aftertaste, and balance. This ensures our coffees are consistent and of exceptional quality.
Our roasting team on any given day, can be found cupping our existing coffees, fresh crop and micro-lot samples , new offerings, and auction lot coffees such as Cup of Excellence winners. Green coffee selection and buying is influenced on how a coffee performs on the cupping table.
We also place great value in our relationships with producers, cooperatives and quality control providers at origin. Ozone Coffee Roasters is committed to travelling to origins it purchases from to meet producers and cooperatives to form transparent and meaningful relationships, and tell these stories to both our wholesale and retail cutomers.
Our green bean division currently source coffees from some of the renowned growing regions of the coffee world, with a focus on quality green coffee and great trading relationships.
